Directors

Impact's Board of Directors have extensive experience in mining and mineral exploration supported by a strong history of exploration success, business development and corporate management. The Board includes two highly experienced geologists with over 50 years combined industry experience, headed by a company Chairman with significant experience in the mining, finance and securities industries.

Peter J Unsworth, CA, BCom - Non-Executive Chairman

Mr Unsworth is a Chartered Accountant with more than 30 years experience in the corporate finance, investment, and securities industries and a wealth of management experience with both public and private companies. A former Executive Director with Western Australian stockbroking company Paterson Ord Minnett Ltd (now Patersons Securities Limited), Mr Unsworth has been a director of a number of public exploration and mining companies. He is currently Chairman of the Western Australian Government owned Gold Corporation and a board member of its 40% owned gold refining and precious metals manufacturing and distribution business AGR Matthey.

Dr Mike G Jones, PhD, MAIG - Managing Director

Dr Jones completed undergraduate and post-graduate studies in Mining and Exploration Geology at Imperial College, London. His Ph.D work on gold mineralisation saw him move to Western Australia in 1988 to work for Western Mining Corporation exploring gold deposits in the Yilgarn. Since 1994 he has consulted to the exploration and mining industry specialising in the integration of geological field mapping and the interpretation of geochemical, geophysical and remotely sensed data for target generation. Dr Jones has worked on over 80 projects both in greenfields and nearmine exploration in a wide variety of mineralised terrains and is the founding director of Lithofire Consulting Geologists in Perth, Australia. He was also the team leader during the discovery of a significant gold deposit at the Higginsville Mining Centre, near Kalgoorlie.

Dr Rodney E Fripp, PhD, FAusIMM - Executive Director

Dr Fripp has 35 years experience in all aspects of mineral exploration: from project generation and execution, to management and financial control. He has worked on both underground and open pit mines in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Australia, leading teams that have gone on to discover significant gold reserves. From 1989 to 1995 he was Regional Vice-President of Business Development, Australasia for a major North American mining company, focussing on the technical and financial evaluation of major gold and base metal projects, project acquisition, joint venture negotiation and corporate mergers. He has also filled similar management roles with Australian mining groups. Dr Fripp is currently a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and a member of many professional societies.
